Trustfolio is a mobile app that enables cryptocurrency adopters to measure and track the performance of their crypto in one place. The project was born out of the incovinience and innacuracies in the manual process of monitoring the performance of cryptocurrency investments across multiple crypto exchanges and wallets. add some more details here to make this feel a lot more chunky maybe it could drop to a few more lines

Spreadsheets, trading journals and screenshots
are not the way to go
To understand cryptocurrency portfolio management habits and challenges, I interviewed six long-term investors and surveyed 44 community members. The research revealed that market volatility and poor portfolio visibility are the main pain points, with users typically relying on trading journals, spreadsheets, and daily wallet screenshots for tracking.
Key user types identified were long-term investors and short-term traders, with most participants using popular exchanges like Binance, Coinbase, Trustwallet, and Kucoin. On average, users hold 6-15 cryptocurrencies across 3-6 different platforms, highlighting the complexity of portfolio management in this space.
How do we integrate the app to cryptocurrency exchanges and wallets?
To ensure that the app genuinely helps users track the performance of their cryptocurrency portfolios, it’s important that portfolios are updated in real-time. This was implemented by designing a user flow that connects the mobile app to exchanges and wallets through API’s embedded within the user’s exchange or wallet. Users that are not familiar with how API integration works can follow instructions detailed on the app.
How do we help users reduce the anxiety of contsantly checking their portfolios?
One of the key insights from the research analysis is that that the average cryptocurrency investor checks their portfolio over 10 times a day. This is more common amongst investors who have been investing for less than 2 years. Cryptocurrency been a highly volatile investment asset class contributes to this immensely and consequentluy creates a feeling of anxiety. To fix this, we enabled users set custom notifications that informs them about the performance of their portfolio so they don't have to keep checking constantly
How do we help users stay on top of happenings in the cryptocurrency space
The cryptocurrency space is very fast paced and investors need to stay abreast of new developments in the space to make better investment decisions. The embedded news feature enables users to get updates on news worthy events around cryptocurrencies that have been added to their watch list and trending news in crypto.
Users can also connect the app to their twitter accounts and search crypto related tweets using coin tickers. To ensure that users are protected from fake news, they can choose news sources based on their preferences.
